The Nigeria Climate Innovation Center (NCIC), in collaboration with All On (backed by the Rockefeller Foundation) and the Enterprise Development Center (EDC), is organizing an incubation program for early-stage renewable energy businesses and startups in the country. The Embryo Incubation Program (as the incubator is called) is designed to equip participating startups with the knowledge, skills, and technical capacity they require to make a difference in the markets they target. Ultimately, the organizers want these businesses to be able to contribute scalable renewable energy solutions to a national supply of power that’s thus far remained insufficient to cater to the energy needs of Nigerians. The Embryo Incubation Program (EIP) will last for six months and will be run virtually. While this program is open to all qualified applicants, women-led renewable energy startups are strongly encouraged to apply.
