Would You Trek From Kaduna to Abuja For Your President?

Would you trek hundreds of kilometres for your Governor or President? Well, Hajiya Talatu is doing this for Nigeria’s President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd). It has been reported that Hajiya Talatu is trekking from Kaduna to Abuja to celebrate Buhari’s victory at the recent Presidential elections held in April, 2015. Her trip began last week, and she plans to arrive at the country’s capital city just in time for the inauguration ceremony on 29th May, 2015. This is not the only trek of support for Buhari. Five days ago, Vanguard Newspaper reported that a 45-year-old man, Mallam Adamu Abdullahi of Borno State was doing the same. His trek commenced from his state’s capital town of Maiduguri and will end in Abuja; a journey of approximately 868km. Upon arrival, he intends on pleading for Buhari’s intervention in the Boko Haram insurgency. Abdullahi believes that his trip will take an estimated 21 days to complete and asks for prayers for his safety.       Photo Credit: Bellanaija.com
