Work Smarter and Faster With Windows Continuum

Microsoft announced Continuum for its Windows phone devices at Build Conference last year, and it was launched alongside Windows 10 and the Lumia 950/950XL duo this year. Continuum allows your phone to have PC-like capabilities. By connecting your Windows phone to a larger screen (a monitor or a TV), you get Microsoft’s traditional desktop experience all powered by your smartphone. Continuum is essential for office workers and people that use Microsoft office tools frequently.

Continuum offers lots of cool features. If you need to make use of an external display unit, you can hook up a keyboard and a mouse to your phone using the Microsoft display dock, or you can use your smartphone’s touchscreen as your mouse pad.

It offers seamless multitasking. With Continuum, it’s possible to perform different tasks on your phone screen while still connected to a second display unit. You can take a call and at the same time edit a PowerPoint presentation on the external display.

Continuum eliminates the need to carry a PC with you always. With Continuum, you can project that PowerPoint presentation at work from your phone and can avoid extra late hours at work since you can work from home using your phone. Also while at home, you can use your smart TV as a second display. You can even throw on funny videos for your kids on the TV while you catch up on your mail with your phone.

Continuum can be accessed using the Microsoft display dock or by casting your screen to an external display wirelessly. Only select Windows phone devices support Continuum because of the processing power it requires.
