vying for no. 1
Only three of the four selected goalkeepers will make it into the final cut for the world cup, and Super Eagles trainer, Alloy Agu, has stated that each goalie will have an equal chance to vie for the available slot.
Speaking to Complete sports Alloy said:
“Everything will be done on merit. We are lucky to have these quality goalkeepers in the team at the moment and we will give them equal chance to show what they can do. I don’t support the view that there is a favourite among the four or that we already know the three that will go with the team to Russia… I know they all want to be in Russia which will make them give their all in training. That itself is good for the team as it will give us the opportunity to pick the best for the team.”
