Wennovation Hub continued its steady pace of planned growth with the addition of two new teams in the dawn of 2013: Ideacentric- a company that seeks to change the way we use our phones to work, and Raotech- the company that seeks to change the very definition of work, were the latest additions. Now, it is time to add some more.
The Wennovation Hub is pleased to announce the launch of its premier Business Plan Competition- the Wennovation Hunt. The program will have at take-off two participating universities: University of Ibadan and Covenant University, Otta.
Information sessions to prepare students of the participating institutions are currently on-going, as well as the process of identifying school judges who will join Wennovation Hub’s pre-selected judges to identify innovative talents and future super stars in the round-robin tournament style competition that will see the two institutions going head to head
The First Phase of the competition commenced April 1st and will run up to the 30th, with the intra-university component. Participants are to submit simple proposals at the designated website. Winners of this Phase (three in each institution, with five runners-up) will then proceed to face off in the Inter-Institution Phase with three winning teams emerging to be incubated and go commercial at the Wennovation Hub in 2014. Only final year students or students in their penultimate year are eligible to compete in the WennoHunt Competition.
