With this win, Nigeria now has five continental titles and sits in the second spot for Africa’s most successful women’s basketball team, behind Senegal (11 titles). Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Paul Onuachu, has continued to prove that his exploits in 2020/2021 were no fluke as the goals keep banging in. Onuachu scored a hat-trick for Genk in their 3-0 win over RFC Seraing in the Belgian Jupiler league on Sunday and was named man of the match afterwards. So far (2021/2022 season), Onuachu has scored nine goals in eight appearances for Genk and has had an impressive last five games that have seen him score eight times.

Just like Onuachu, Napoli of Italy striker, Victor Osimhen, has been in superlative form this season. The former Lille OSC star scored his sixth goal in six games for Napoli in their 2-0 win over Cagliari on Sunday. Osimhen has now scored four times in his last three games for the Luciano Spaletti led side. Saturday, September 25, was a sad day for Nigerian boxing fans as Anthony Joshua lost his IBF, IBO, WBA, and WBO heavyweight titles to Oleksandr Usyk of Ukraine at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
