When you make a call or send a message, do you assume that the person you’re addressing remembers you? Unless you are really close or have been in constant contact, chances are they do not.
Saying hello, mentioning their name and then carrying on a conversation or making a request, or sending a text without signing your name at the end can cost you that conversation right there and then. You may have met or spoken with them, without them saving your number in their phone.
When you call, text or email someone, explain who you are at the beginning of the conversation. Introduce yourself, and then sign off with your name and company, or something the person will remember you by.
This is your tip of the day.
