Ejigbo, a popular Yoruba town bordering Iwo, Ogbomoso and Ede doubles as a francophone community within Nigeria. Due to extensive travelling and trade with other African countries, a larger percentage of Nigerians living in Ivory Coast, Benin Republic, etc. are Ejigbo indigenes.
There is also direct commercial bus transportation to and fro between Ejigbo and a lot of francophone African countries. Asides from Yoruba and English spoken in the south-west, majority of Ejigbo citizens in Nigeria speak french as a mother tongue.
