Throwback Thursday: The Pounded Yam Powder Patent

Have you ever wondered about who made many of our lives easier by providing pounded yam powder so that we no longer have to pound yam in mortars?

Professor (Engr) Olusoji Ofi, a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dundee, Scotland patented the process for the production of the Instant Pounded Yam.
