“The Nigerian Hospitality industry is unscratched,” says Yvonne Mordi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 2wenty2 Hospitality Company and convener of the famous knowledge-based event, The Hospitality Industry Conference (THIC).
Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos, Mordi popularly known as The Hospitality Queen stated that the hospitality industry will continue to flourish so long as tourism and travel continue to thrive in Nigeria. This development promoted by the presence of technology, she added is opening up more opportunities in the sector. She further stated that only those whose minds are open to identifying such opportunities can adequately tap into the abundant resources in these sectors.
“Africa particularly Nigeria for many reasons is a destination site for tourism. This development is rubbing off on the hospitality industry and would continue this way with the progress of technology.
“The passion to cover for the dearth of information in the industry, promote robust conversation, networking and make valued industry information available to aspiring entrants and players is our driving force behind the annual convergence of The Hospitality Industry Conference (THIC), ” she explained.
