The Joint Venture comprising the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC), and Oando, is inviting qualified candidates to apply for its 2022 Tertiary Scholarship Scheme.
This scholarship targets two categories of applicants, namely: undergraduate applicants who hail from NAOC host communities (Host/Transit Communities Merit Awards); and undergraduate applicants from non-host or non-transit communities (National Merit Award).
Note that only 100-level students are allowed to apply for this scholarship. Persons who currently benefit from similar awards from other companies are also exempted from applying.
Benefits
The organizers of this scholarship will pay the tuition fees of the students who they deem qualified to benefit from it. Note that application for this scholarship is free.
Eligibility
Intending applicants should meet these conditions:
- Be a full-time undergraduate student of a recognized tertiary institution in Nigeria
- Be a certified 100-level (first-year) student admitted into the 2021/2022 academic session
- Be an indigene of a NAOC host community in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo (condition for the Host/Transit Communities Merit Award)
- Be studying Geology, Engineering, Geosciences, and Agricultural Science (condition for the National Merit Award)
The organizers of the scholarship scheme will shortlist a select number of students and invite them for a proctored computer-based test.
Applications will remain open until June 8, 2022.
