  The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) says applications are now open for its digital skills training program. The Digital Skills Nigeria program, as it’s called, is aimed at building the capacity of young people in the country in various technology-based niches and disciplines. It prepares them for roles within those domains by training them in areas such as IT Security, DevOps, Data Analysis, and Digital Content Creation.

This program is a partnership involving Microsoft, the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, Tech4Dev, and LSETF, among others. It is expected to develop a pipeline of skilled tech-savvy young people, and ultimately reduce unemployment and underemployment in the country.

Eligibility

This program is open to individuals aged 16-35 who are enthusiastic about tech and want to build a career in a tech or tech-enabled discipline.

The Program’s Learning Paths

The program has two segments: Basic Digital Literacy and Advanced Certification.
