The HerVenture App Helps Women Entrepreneurs Learn Business Skills

If you’re a woman and you run a business, you may find the HerVenture app a helpful addition to your range of self-development tools. It’s a resource that helps you learn useful enterprise building skills on-the-go, and gives you access to other women entrepreneurs like yourself.

The HerVenture mobile app was launched in 2015 by the Cherie Blair Foundation, an international NGO based in the United Kingdom. Partners on the project also include ExxonMobil Foundation and Emerging360 Inc. It’s currently available in three countries: Indonesia, Nigeria, and Vietnam.

Users of the app are able to learn practical skills and confidence building tips through the series of easy-to-understand lessons available on it. They also get connect with other women starting and growing their own ventures and learn from their experiences. They’ll gain points as they increase their leanings and interact with the community of businesswomen on the app.

Lessons on HerVenture app are divided into five simple tracks, covering the process of launching a product, innovation in business, and how to expand market access. Content on these tracks is split into small bits, making them easy to grasp and remember.   

The whole learning experience is personalized, designed and suggested based on the information provided by individual users. Short tests are administered to keep tabs of the users’ progress and help them recall points they may have forgotten or missed.

The app has been built with the resource shortages of developing countries in mind. Some of its features have been made accessible without data, and the lessons to be learned on it are presented in ways that are relevant to the countries in which it’s being used.  

There’s a sense of community with the app as well, which enhances the learning on it. Users are free to interact with each other, share experiences, and gather more practical insights from the field in addition to what’s provided by in the learning modules.

Another enhancement of the experience on the HerVenture mobile application is its token rewards system. As participants learn more and expand their networks, they earn points and climb up levels of recognition.  It’s a way to boost their confidence that they’re on track with assimilating the important tips and strategies they’ve picked up from the platform.

Besides the trainings, HerVenture allows women receive expert answers to their business questions from competent sources.
