The Experience Held Its 15th Global Edition And First Exclusive Virtual Event
Samuel Okoruwa
The world’s largest annual gospel concert, The Experience, held on Friday, December 11, exclusively online beginning at 9:00 PM West African Time (GMT+1).
Although previous editions were held at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos, Nigeria, this year’s event debuted as a global edition, live-streamed simultaneously around the world via YouTube, Facebook, and other digital platforms.
The Experience, which attracts thousands of attendees from Nigeria and abroad, has been described as the most anticipated gospel concert in the world. Predominantly a music concert that attracts gospel artists from all over the globe, The Experience has upheld its standard of being a spiritual haven of some sort for the religious faithfuls, the world over.
This year’s event was no different, as it featured new entrants as well as old-timers to its outstanding section of gospel artistes. In attendance were indigenous and international gospels artistes such as Don Moen, Nathaniel Bassey, Travis Greene, Tope Alabi, Sinach, Eben, Onos Ariyo, Donnie McClurkin, William McDowell, and more.
First-time gospel artistes at the event included Australia’s Hillsong United; Tasha Cobbs Leonard and Maverick City from the USA; The Cape Town Philharmonic Choir from South Africa; Sheldon Bangera from India; Matt Redman from the United Kingdom and Sidney Mohede from Indonesia.
