God lives in the praises of His people; the Prophet David said this hundreds of years ago and yet not many stop to consider what this really means. When God’s people lift up their hearts, hands and voices in sincere praise and worship, they receive the gift of His presence.
This is what The Experience has always stood for, and the 9
th edition which holds on Friday 5th December 2014 by 7pm will be no different.
God’s presence will descend on Nigeria in a mighty way as worshippers from all over Nigeria and beyond gather at the Tafawa Balewa Square- the same venue where Nigeria’s Independence ceremony was celebrated- to worship God with one voice. It will not be a time to be Anglican, Baptist or Pentecostal but a time to be Christian. With one voice, believers will bring God a sacrifice of praise, remembering His goodness and His wonderful works all year long.
At the Experience 2014, God’s people will praise Him for life, for the jobs and businesses He has provided and blessed, for the promotions and breakthroughs He has brought.
We will praise Him for the obstacles over which He has brought us. If it had not been for God on our side, where would we be now? Surely the waters- the trials, temptations, challenges and tribulations of navigating life in this imperfect world- would have swallowed us up. But thanks be to Jehovah who has not given us over the desire of the evil one!
We will praise Him not just for what He has done but for those things we have asked of Him, because we know they are done. We will praise Him for our spouses. We will praise Him for our children. We will praise Him for deliverance. We praise Him for the people we almost married that we did not marry. We will praise Him for the gift of believing husbands and wives.
We will praise Him that we can be gathered together in His Name at all, and not forbidden or discouraged from serving Him. We will praise God for hope that Nigeria will know peace and prosperity again.
For the discerning, it will be a time to bring Heaven down to earth and enthrone God on the praises of His people. It will be a time to leverage the power of unity and praise and put an end to the antics of the enemy in our lives and our nation.
Nigeria has known unprecedented terror in recent times. Yet, we must ask, what can happen if God’s people take a stand? If believers gather and stand on the power in praise, and declare God’s Kingdom come in our land? Even in captivity Paul and Silas sang God’s praises and their shackles were broken.
Several worship ministers, from home and abroad, will be on ground at The Experience this year; Micah Stampley, Don Moen, Israel Houghton, Lenny LeBlanc, Sinach, Nathaniel Bassey, Chioma Jesus, Chevelle Franklin and Donnie McClurkin are just a few of them.
The Experience 2014 is not meant to be a gathering of spectators come to hear melodious voices, but a gathering of true worshippers. God will be praised and Jericho’s walls will collapse.
Indeed, we will praise Him; we will lift our voices and give him glory not just because of what He has done but because of who He is! He alone is God, whose throne is Heaven and whose footstool is the earth. He alone, and no other, Creator and Sustainer of all things.
Jehovah is the Living God! Praise be to our Rock! Let the God of our salvation be exalted! Come, let’s praise the Lord! Let us clap our hands and sing to the glory of His Name!
It is a good thing to give thanks to Jehovah and sing praises to His Name. The Experience 2014 is here. Come, let us exalt His Name together!
