The AIG Public Leaders Program 2024 for Public Sector Leaders

Applications are now open for the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation Public Leaders Program. This initiative is designed to train Africa’s public sector leaders and empower them to effect positive change within their domains. The AIG Public Leaders Program is run in conjunction with the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government and is taught by some of the world’s top public policy experts.

Through the program, present and emerging figures who are in or moving into leadership positions in the public sector will be equipped with the skills they need to tackle challenges in today’s complex world and make an impact. The experience encompasses classroom discussion, practical exercises, simulations, and group work. Ultimately, the program’s organizers aim to help participants build a culture of excellence and integrity throughout the public institutions they lead.

Benefits

This program offers the following benefits:

Take part in four days of online classes, with meetings with faculty on the fifth day
Four weeks of self-paced online learning, with teaching assistants facilitating the online discussion boards
Attend a 1-week residential program in Abuja, where Blavatnik faculty will be teaching live at the venue and via video
Get the chance to develop a capstone project
Have their project reviewed and awarded, if they merit it

Eligibility

This program is open to persons who meet these criteria:

Must be actively working in the public sector in an African country
Have at least 7 years of work experience
Be at Grade Level 12 or higher
Should not be older than 50 years
