The Accelerate Africa Pre-Accelerator Program 2023 for Early-Stage Startups

  Prosper Africa, a US government initiative that links African businesses with new buyers and suppliers, is partnering with Future Africa to organize the Accelerate Africa Program. The program is a pre-accelerator which will last for 7 weeks. It will work with African startups to get accepted into leading global technology accelerators, and secure funding to scale their market presence and impact.

Through the Accelerate Africa Program, founders and their startups will access investors, potential partners, customers, and valuable networks that could help them thrive. The program enables them to benefit from accelerators such as 500 Startups, Y Combinator, and Techstars, as well as governments and global technology companies.

Benefits

Founders who are accepted into this program will benefit from it in the following ways:

• Get mentored by established founders who have previously been accepted into leading global accelerators, and receive guidance from them
• Join the program’s community, comprising over 100 startups and more than 300 investors
• Get the chance to pitch their business to African Venture Capital firms at the program’s Demo Day
• Receive $75,000 investments for 5% equity from the program’s Investment Committee

Eligibility

This program is open to founders of early-stage startups who are looking to gain entry into some of the world’s most prominent accelerators. Applications will close on May 19. About 25 startups selected for the program will be notified of their acceptance into it on May 24. The program will start on May 31.
