The Super Falcons face yet another defying test when they go up against Canada on 8th April, at the Pintaar  Arena Football Centre in Murcia, Spain.

The Falcons utterly defeated a first division club from Iceland UMF Selfoss 6-1 on Friday, 4th April, and will now measure their strengths when they face the Canadians, who have promised to front their best players at the friendly.

Both countries began talks for the friendly during the draw ceremony of the World Cup in France in December 2018.

The Canadian team’s gaffer, Kenneth Heiner-Møller, revealed that he values the encounter with the nine-time African champions, as it would go a long way to help him access the strengths of the the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, who Canada will take on in their debut game of the 2019 Women’s World Cup in Montpellier on June 10.

The North Americans will also tackle New Zealand and The Netherlands in their other group stage games.

The Super Falcons will begin their campaign at the World Cup against Norway in Reims on June 8.

The Nigerian senior women’s team will then take on Korea Republic in Grenoble on June 12, before they square off against tournament host, France, in Rennes, five days later.
