One of the most anticipated event Social Media Week Lagos will once again converge the biggest names and players in the Tech Space. With an attendance of about 15,000 people in its last edition and 454 million global online view social media week Lagos is back for its 6
th edition tagged “CLOSER”. The event would run from 26

st March 2018. AfricaNXT seeks to merge the gap between nontechnology enthusiasts and technology to add values to their businesses and open their minds to new opportunities and ideas to grow their businesses and their brands.
AfricaNXT will have a designated space within the same venue; a purpose-built pavilion to accommodate 2000 participants who would engage in workshops, exhibitions and enlightening conversations centered around Africa such as the following:
Virtually African A Pop Up VR Film Fest: this pushes the boundaries and thinking around the African experiences. This would feature the works of African filmmakers using virtual reality science to tell their stories and showcase how African artists are ingeniously collaborating to blend art and technology together.
Chop and Chat Small Bites Big Conversations: chefs, food enthusiast, and cultural mavens would be leading an intimate conversation on the future of food in Africa and the impact of the continent on global food culture. The chefs’ table is not left out as discussions would be on while our chefs show us tricks and tips to better our cooking. The segment would be co-curated by Pop up Africa.
AFRIKA21 SoundKlash: 12 DJ’s and Producers from across the continent coming together to make the ultimate music mixtape live at the NXT listening party. AFRIKA21 SoundKlash will be available as a free digital download post AfricaNXT.
#africanxt Lit Lab: mobile library meets ease, #africanxt lit lab is a pop up literary experience featuring the works of foremost authors and afro-futurists and all around awesome Africans who can use their pen and words to do beautiful things.
With the above-listed features, AfricaNXT is set to facilitate, inform and create unique networking opportunities for participants.
