  Stretching over a staggering 6,402 sqkm, Gashaka Gumti National Park is the biggest of Nigeria’s national parks. It is part lowland Savannah, part mountainous terrain, a contrast that unfolds from North to South.

This park holds more impressive sights and sounds within it than the devoted aesthete can take in at once. This is true for the spread-out vegetation of the savannah-like segments, the heavily forested ascents and valleys in its southern reaches, its rugged towering mountains, the incredibly diverse wildlife that it harbours, and the tranquillity it enjoys due to its remoteness.
