Wole Soyinka’s Plane Seat Incident
One of the highlights of the week was a tweet by Nigeria politician Tonye Cole in which he recounted an experience he witnessed between a young man and Wole Soyinka on a plane. In the tweet, he called out the young man for asking Wole Soyinka to leave his seat and tagged him “disrespectful”. Of course, Nigerians had a lot to say about the tweet with some defending the young and others agreeing with Tonye Cole.

BlackBonez
The Nigerian rap scene has been bereft of rappers for a long time and this has been a major topic in the industry. Hence, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that when new rappers who show promise emerge in the industry, Nigerians are apt to hype them. One of such rappers is no other than BlackBonez. Since BlackBonez became a sensation among Nigerians, Twitter has been full of Tweets praising him and even comparing him to other rappers who have been in the game.
