Of course, it goes without saying that the talented Emmanuella is one of the most phenomenal kids of the decade. Emmanuella became the poster girl for comedy at age 5 after her video “This is not my real face” went viral. Since then, she has reigned supreme as a comedy icon, gracing several shows alongside AY, Bovi, and Basketmouth. Asides from being nominated for The Nickelodeon Kid’s Awards, Emmanuella has won several awards including the Sub-Saharan African (SSA) Youtube Awards (which was bestowed on the company she’s signed to, Mark Angel Comedy), and the Princess of Comedy Award by the Australian government.

The Critics

With a cracked smartphone and hardly any equipment, this group of 8 kids called The Critics has carved a niche for themselves by shooting sci-fi movies. Amazingly, The Critics learnt all they know about visual effects from online tutorials on Youtube. They went viral this year after filmmaker Kemi Adetiba endorsed them in an enthusiastic tweet in June. She also helped them raise funds for them to upgrade their equipment. Their most recent project is a music video for the American Punk Group.

At age 9, Basil Okpara Jr. has built over 30 mobile games using the free programming language Scratch. He got inspired to accomplish this remarkable feat after his father cautioned him to be more productive instead of spending most of his time playing games. Today, Basil’s love for game development has seen him build over 30 mobile games and release one of them, Frog Attack, on Google Play store.

For the first part of the decade, Amarachi Uyaenne wowed Nigerians with her exceptional dance moves. She became famous after emerging winner of Nigeria’s Got Talent maiden edition which saw her win a cash prize of N10 million. Exhibiting a talent for dancing from age 5, Amarachi was named the “youngest millionaire in Nigeria” after her win and went on to garner more fame after the release “Amarachi Dance” and “Over Sabi”. She currently runs her own talent academy for young kids who want to hone their dancing talents.
