Everton and Iceland playmaker, Gylfi Sigurdsson, has hailed the impact of Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, at Everton.
Iwobi, who is currently with the Nigerian national team in Dnipro, Ukraine ahead of their international friendly on Tuesday, August 10, 2019, against Ukraine, joined the Toffees from North London side, Arsenal FC during the summer transfer window. The 23-year-old was part of the bronze-winning Nigerian team at the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations in Egypt, and has wasted no time in adapting to life at the Merseyside club.
Sigurdsson set up Iwobi for his second Everton goal against Wolves with an inviting cross, a match that would go further to end 3-2 in favour of Everton.
Of course for him, for an attacking player, it’s nice to get that first goal early on. It’s good for the confidence and all of the other boys, not just him, [with] Fabian [Delph] coming back from injury and Djibril [Sidibe) there’s good depth in the squad at the moment.

The Super Eagles star got his first goal for the Toffees in their Carabao Cup clash against Lincoln City on August 28, 2019, few days after making his first premier league debut for the club.
