Messaging just became so much fun with the new Google Allo instant messaging mobile app. Launched on the 21st of September 2016, Google Allo is available for Android and iOS for users do more and say more in chats.
Google Allo is not just a simple messaging app; it’s synchronized with Google Assistant to help you plan, find information and express yourself more easily in chat. The app also learns your preferences ensuring its ability to predict you with time.
Main features of the app include
- Smart reply: this suggests a reply for you when you are chatting based on the last received message. This also analyzes images sent to you in order to suggest responses.
- Incognito mode: by default, the Google Allo is not end-to-end encrypted so the incognito mode is an optional mode that includes expiring chats, private notifications, and end-to-end encryption.
- Whisper shout: this feature tries to give emotion and volume to your chats. Bigger message bubbles convey a feeling of shouting while the smaller ones mean the message could pass for a whisper.
It is worthy to note when using this app that your chats, except when on incognito mode, are not end-to-end encrypted meaning that it is possible for them to be hacked. Also, your messages are kept by Google indefinitely to improve smart reply until you delete them from your own end.
