After the successful Galaxy S III, Samsung, the Smartphone giant, has unveiled its newest flagship Smartphone – the Galaxy S4.
Samsung made the lavish announcement on Thursday, at New York’s Radio City Music Hall. The S4 looks similar to the S III, except for the larger 5-inch screen and a slightly thinner frame.
Hardware and Display: The Galaxy S4 comes with a 5 inch SUPER AMOLED 1,920×1,080 screen, a faster 1.9Ghz quad-core processor or a 1.6 octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM. It also has a microSD card slot and comes with 16, 32 or 64 GB configurations. Oh, and a 2,600mAh battery.
Dual cameras: An amazing new feature of the S4 is its dual cameras that work simultaneously when recording a video or taking a photo. So, this means you can now appear on the photos or videos you shoot. The Smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Gestures: Samsung added a new feature to the S4 – Air Gestures, which allows users to simply hover their fingers on select apps to preview its content. Another cool feature is the Smart Scroll, which lets you scroll email and web pages without touching the screen.
Translator: The S translator tool allows users to translate from one language to another either via text or voice. This tool has been embedded into the email and ChatOne, allowing a sender type in one language, and read in another on the receiving end.
Software: The Galaxy S4 is running the latest Android 4.2.2. It also has some pretty cool features like the Smart Pause, Smart Scroll, Group Play and more. For instance, the Smart Pause allows you to control your video with your eyes. The phone knows when you’re watching, and once your eyes are off the video, it pauses automatically until you look at it again. Group Play allows you to share photos, music and videos.
Impressed with the new Galaxy S4? It will be available in April in 125 counties. So be patient, it’s coming.
