Sam Adebanjo Sings for Mothers in ‘Mama’ featuring Rooftop MCs’ Snatcha.

Though Mother’s Day 2014 is still a couple of months away, one of Nigeria’s finest voices is reminding folks the need to revere mothers all the time. Singer, Sam Adebanjo, has released a new single titled Mami a special one to eulogize mothers. The song, which features producer, singer and songwriter, MC Snatcha of pop-gospel duo, Rooftop MCs, is also a tribute dedicated to the Late Christy Uduak Essien-Igbokwe, who died 30th June, 2011. Adebanjo, a leader of DTWG, is a winner and nominee of several awards, including the MOBO Awards, AGMA, BEFFTA and the Urban Music Award. ‘Mami’ is a track off the  album ‘The Mission/The Vision’, a double disc which is perceived as giving music a whole new direction as it is a fusion of AfroBeats and Gospel genres, creating an infectious African Gospel Praise.
