Following the success of ROK in 2016, the Nigerian-owned entertainment brand has launched two new channels on DSTV.
ROK’s CEO and Nollywood actress,
Mary Njoku, said:
“We are so excited to be extending the ROK platform across two new channels this week on DStv and GOtv. Today’s announcement is really a testament to our fans and their support for the type of storytelling we do here at ROK… As always, we keep our focus purely on ensuring amazing stories are told with passion and sincerity, by teams of super-talented African writers, actors, producers, and directors. This approach to building the ROK brand has resonated with audiences across the continent, and we continue to strive to meet their needs and delight them with great content”.
Original content
ROK has so far proven to be one of the most creative providers of original visual
content in Africa. It has within the last few years produced a minimum of 344 movies and eight TV series, including

Yolisa Phahle, CEO for General Entertainment, at MultiChoice at the launch, said:
“We remain committed to telling local stories in local languages. These channels are a testament to our ongoing belief in the power of Africa’s creative industry. From today, our customers will enjoy additional quality local programming that will take their TV entertainment to new heights”.
