Real Estate Unite, Africa’s largest annual gathering of real estate industry stakeholders, investors and concerns, is set to take place from May 30-31 at the Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Organized by 3INVEST, Real Estate Unite brings together players from across the office, residential, industrial, retail, healthcare and hospitality segments of the real estate sector to learn from the industry’s experts, network with decision-makers, corporate executives, and investors from within the sector.
The theme of this year’s edition of the conference is ‘Towards a Sustainable Culture’. In line with this, the discussion sessions at the event will focus on identifying issues related to sustainability in Africa’s built environment and spurring a movement towards factoring sustainability concerns into the development of property in Nigeria and the wider continent.
Panel discussions at this year’s edition of Real Estate Unite will revolve around the following sub-themes:
- Sustainable Building: Land Use Regulations, Design Planning, Construction Technology, and Materials.
- Sustainable Management: Operations, Technology, Energy, Water, and Waste Management.
- Sustainable Finance: Green Finance, Bonds, REITs, Private Equity, Sukuk Mortgages.
Guest speakers at these sessions will include top executives, industry experts, and other stakeholders in the real estate space. They will be sharing new knowledge and valuable insights, and plotting a path for a more sustainable real estate industry.
The event will also explore the opportunities that are surfacing in real estate, thanks to the rapid growth of the sector, especially in emerging markets. With the market growing by 55% between 2012 and 2020, and forecast to expand even more in the next decade, it’s imperative that the new fronts of growth in the industry be explored and defined for prospective investors who will want to take advantage of them.
There will be exhibitions as well, which will showcase the latest offerings from product and service providers, developers, and suppliers. These display points will attract an audience consisting of B2B and B2C segment representatives, including home buyers, prospective occupiers, and investors.
