Nigeria’s only remaining representative in the 2013 African Champions League, Enugu Rangers, have dragged South African club, Chippa United to Zurich headquarters of FIFA over the transfer of James Okwuosa.
The erstwhile Flying Antelopes skipper left Enugu before the end of last season to have a trial with Ajax Cape Town but the move failed to materialise and he ended up with PSL side Chippa United, another Cape Town side, where he has been a constant fixture, but Rangers raised alarm that they are yet to receive a dime for their former skipper.
Chippa United had promised to pay the Enugu based side last November, but up till now Rangers are claiming that Chippa have failed to fulfil that promise.
”We have drafted a letter which has been forwarded to FIFA via the NFF. As far as we are concerned, Chippa are being dishonest, and it is time to put an end to this charade. We want our player back in Enugu. If they can’t afford to pay for him, let another club come and get him.” Foster Chime, Media Officer for Rangers said.
