Publiseer Now Distributes To Empik, Poland’s #1 Retailer Of Digital Books

Publiseer

Africa’s digital content distribution company, Publiseer, has been adding, for the past months, a number of new stores to its distribution channel, as one of its scaling strategies. Today, Publiseer is adding Empik to the list of digital service providers it distributes to. This means that Publiseer will be sending every ebook and audiobook in its catalogue to Empik, which is the leading digital retailer of ebooks and audiobooks in Poland. Empik owns over 61 percent of the digital-book market in Poland, and Publiseer will be distributing every ebook and audiobook in its catalogue to Empik’s digital marketplace, which has over 250,000 active monthly users. However, Publiseer gives its authors the liberty to refuse their book being distributed to Empik upon request. Such authors have to send a request to Publiseer, requesting that Empik be removed or delisted from the books where their books will be distributed to.
“With increasing momentum, we at Publiseer are expanding our distribution channel, and Empik happens to be our most recent addition. We are very excited to help our authors reach an increasingly growing audience. At the moment, we are focused on increasing our book distribution channel, which will be followed by increasing our music distribution channel,”
says Chidi Nwaogu, Co-founder and CEO at Publiseer.
“Why Empik and why Poland? Well, the Polish book market has witnessed a 9% growth rate since 2020, which makes it one of Europe’s fastest-growing book markets — capturing over 7% of Europe’s book market. While Empik accounts for over 60% of the digital-book market in Poland, which makes it the leading book retailer in the country.”
Publiseer is a digital content distribution company that works with independent writers, musicians, filmmakers, and video game developers in 8 African countries; helping them to focus on the creating process, while it handles the tedious but very important business of transforming their creativity into wealth for them.
