Organizing a private film screening event can be daunting, yet the Wedding Party 2 had its successful exclusive partner screening at the Imax cinema yesterday.
Oh, if only I could be a fly in that cinema, well if flies are allowed in the cinema. Anyway, Wedding Party 2 is a slight departure from the feature film, the highest grossing movie of Nollywood of all time, rather than focusing on Dozie Onwuka, Banky W, and Dunni Coker, Adesua Etomi, as typical Nollywood movies are prone to, the movie focuses on Nonso Onwuka and ‘Deardre Winston’, played by Enyinna Nwigwe and Daniella Down.
The Destination wedding, centres on an accidental proposal, which the movie advert captions, “She said yes. There’s only one problem—he didn’t ask.
The movie screening had press men, casts and dignitaries in Nollywood and notable filmmakers in attendance.
According to Guardian Life, Mo Abudu, CEO Ebonylife films, was extremely pleased with the event turn out, she expresses her gratitude for the relationship with our media stakeholders. It was a pleasure having them be the first to view the film. She emphasized that their support had always been important and they could always count on it.
The movie premiere would be held on December 10, at Eko Hotel and Suites, tickets are probably all sold out with the height of anticipation. The production would be released to cinemas nationwide on December 15, for those of us interested in viewing, perhaps booking a seat space with friends may not be totally a wrong idea as the theatres are sure to be overflowing with people.
