“The Court of Appeal intends to notify the General Public that the verdict in the following petitions before the Presidential Election Petition Court will be pronounced on Wednesday, 6th September 2023: CA/PEPC/03/2023, involving Mr Peter Gregory Obi & Anor VS. Independent National Electoral Commission & 3 Ors., and CA/PEPC/04/2023, involving Allied Peoples Movement VS. Independent National Electoral Commission & 4 Ors.,”the court registrar stated in a press release.
“CA/PEPC/05/2023, which pertains to Abubakar Atiku & Anor VS. Independent National Electoral Commission & 2 Ors., will also have its judgment televised live by interested Television Stations to promote transparency and openness, allowing the public to follow the proceedings.”

However, he added,
“Access to the Court premises will be strictly granted through accreditation. Only accredited individuals, including Counsel and representatives of Political Parties, will be allowed into the courtroom. We encourage interested members of the public to observe the proceedings from their television sets. We appeal for the utmost cooperation of the general public to ensure a smooth and trouble-free process.”The Labour Party (LP), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), along with their presidential candidates, had filed petitions with the tribunal to challenge the election victory of President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election.
