Aliyu Aziz is the new Director-General/CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) as approved by President Muhammadu Buhari. This was announced in a statement by Abdul-Hamid Umar, General Manager, Corporate Communications, NIMC.
Aliyu Aziz has more than 30 years of post qualification experience in engineering and information technology from the private and public sector. He was a pioneer staff of NIMC and served as the Director of the information technology/national identity database department at NIMC before retiring in 2014. He holds a B. Eng in civil engineering and M.Sc in Structural Engineering from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.
