President Jonathan to Present N4.49 Trillion Budget for 2014 – Report

President Goodluck Jonathan has written to the Senate for their approval to present the 2014 Appropriation Bill to the joint session on November 12, 2013. In the letter, titled 2014 Budget, he requested 12 noon for his presentation. Below is an excerpt from the letter: “I write to crave your kind indulgence to grant me the slot of 12 noon on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 to enable me to formally address a Joint Session of the National Assembly on the 2014 Budget.” “While thanking the honourable members of the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for the constancy of their support, please accept, Rt. Hon Speaker, the assurances of my highest consideration.” Reports say the budget is N4.49 trillion.
