Poland Coach, Adam Nawalka is ecstatic about Friday’s clash against the Super Eagles at the Municipal Stadium, Wraclow in Poland. He assured fans that his team is more than prepared to face Nigeria with or without Super Eagles’ top gun Mikel Obi.
In his statement, Adam Nawalka hinted that the strength, tactics, and skill of the Super Eagles were taken into account and that the Polish team was ready to match Nigeria player for player.
“We keep calm, activities are prepared on the basis of the staff’s and competitors’ experience. We have chosen the optimal plan and I believe that we will be well prepared for the World Cup,” Nawalka said during his post-match press conference on Thursday.
Speaking on the absence of Super Eagles’ skipper, Mikel Obi, who was held back due to certain issues relating to his work permit at Tianjin Teda in China, coach Adam Nawalka stated that the absence of the player means close to nothing to his side and this development did not in any way affect their preparations so far.
“We know Mikel is a good player and very important for Nigeria, but his absence will have no impact on our preparations for the match. Even without Mikel, the Nigerians are a strong test for Poland,” Nawalka said.
Nawalka also stated that his team had gone through a great deal of preparation for the clash and are ready to meet the Nigerians on the pitch later today.
“I assess the preparation very positively. They were planned so that we could combine our tactical activities on the pitch and the theoretical work. We analyzed the previous two meetings, there was a lot of work to do. These were team meetings as well as individual meetings. The players came up professionally, everything was well prepared and keep it up.”
The match will kick off by 8:45 pm Nigerian time, which is the same as Polish time.
