It is on this high note that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo celebrates Nigeria’s phenomenal improvement on the World Bank’ Doing Business latest rankings. The report recorded an increase as Nigeria moves up 24 places in the 145
thposition. Nigeria was also recognized as one of the top 10 most improved economies in the world. He congratulated all the stakeholders who worked with the Federal Government to achieve what he described as a “significant result”.
In a statement made available to journalists by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Laolu Akande as revealed by the Punch Newspaper. He stated that he welcomes Nigeria’s improved performance, a performance that has made the country one of the top 10 reforming economies in the world in 2017, noticing that there had been a decade-long decline in Nigeria’s rankings.
He emphasized that advancing the business environment is at the heart of the Buhari administration’s reform agenda. As the Presidency is involved in reinforcing the economic turnaround by vigorously implementing the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan so that businesses that are operating in Nigeria can thrive and be competitive across the globe.
