Breaking the four-year record held by Kemi Adetiba’s Wedding Party in just three weeks tells a lot about how high the value of the Nigerian film is growing. Omo Ghetto hit these numbers amidst a pandemic that has crippled the global economy. It is quite clear that had the year 2020 been bereft of the unwanted visitor, COVID-19, that placed so many restrictions on convergence, Omo Ghetto would have surpassed its current mark by great numbers.
