Former Super Eagles captain and Nigerian legend, Augustine Azuka ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha, has been named amongst other members of the Bundesliga Legends Network.
The network is a group of ex-internationals who have starred in the German League and have displayed exceptional skill and character on and off the pitch.
Okocha emerged as the latest star to be added to the mix of legends who have featured in the German league.
For his dedication and immense contribution to Eintracht Frankfurt during his football career, the ex-international was awarded the honor by the German league management.
According to the German Bundesliga website, Okocha’s addition to the network automatically makes him one of the ambassadors of the German League.
A team player
The 44-year old former midfielder thrilled fans and lit up the German League between the years 1992 and 1996. During this period, Okocha scored 18 goals and provided 13 assists in 90 games.
Once nicknamed ‘god of dribbling’ by fans, Okocha was an exceptional player with accurate pass distributions and a great sense of humor.
It’s no wonder that the trailblazer is listed among top payers.
