Nigeria’s President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, Oby Ezekwesili and Chimamanda Adichie have been identified by Time Magazine as being among the 100 most influential people in the world.
Oby Ezekwesili was listed in the category of leaders alongside Muhammadu Buhari, while Chimamanda Adichie was in the category of artists.
Writing a tribute under the title: ‘A New Choice for Nigeria,’ Time’s Africa bureau chief, Aryn Baker, applauded Muhammadu Buhari, for becoming the first candidate to oust a sitting Nigerian president through the ballot box. Chimamanda Adichie and Oby Ezekwesili were also commended for their respective roles in the development of the country.
