Godfrey Oboabona, a mainstay in Stephen Keshi’s Super Eagles, has signed a four year deal with Turkish club, Caykir Rizespor. Oboabona’s future has been a subject of speculation after some reports said he declined the offer to have a trial at Arsenal, which he vehemently denied.
The former Sunshine Stars of Akure captain had his medical at the club on Wednesday and will be unveiled to the fans and press today. The transfer fee is believed to be in about 650,000 Euros.
