Nigerian starlet, Chidi Nwakali has moved to Spanish La Liga side, Malaga from Manchester City on a two-and-a-half year loan deal.
Manchester City coach, Manuel Pellegrini, who was formerly at Malaga, flew to Spain to conclude the deal.
Nwakali and compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho are on the fringes of first-team football at the Etihad Stadium.
It has been rumoured that Iheanacho will also make the move to Spain as Manchester City are keen for the youngsters to gain top flight experience.
The reigning English Premier League champions have been trying in vain to obtain work permits for the Nigerian duo since they turned 18 last year.
The pair, who shone at the FIFA under-17 World Cup back in UAE back in 2013, were part of Citizens’ pre-season squad to the United States in the summer where Iheanacho gave a good account of himself.
The loan deal will see them spend valuable playing time in Spain until the summer of 2017.
