The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) has described the schools constructed across Osun state as the best in the Southwest. They praised Governor Rauf Aregbesola for his determination to provide functional education.
The National Vice Chairman of NUJ in the zone, Mr Cosmas Oni, during a tour of projects executed by the Governor, with delegtes who were in attendance for the union’s zonal meeting, said that no other state could match Osun model schools.
Also, the NUJ Chairman in Lagos State, Dr Kazeem Akinret, said the infrastructures being setup by Governor Aregbesola would stay for generations, maintaining that the governor has performed credibly well.
The Information and Strategy Commissioner in the state, Mr Adelani Baderinwa, who was in the company of the NUJ delegation on the tour, described the governor as a trailblazer and an actualizer, noting that Osun has moved from being a rustic to a beautiful state.
Baderinwa noted that just as the governor was performing well in infrastructure, he was also excelling in socio-security programs, sharing that about 25, 000 traders, small scales enterprise and business owners have benefitted from the N3.6bn fund provided by the government.
