Talented
actress, Nse Ikpe Etim, has been announced as co-host of the upcoming 2018
Africa Movie Academy Awards, popularly called the AMAA or AMA Awards.
The announcement means that the 43-year-old will be anchoring the reputable awards ceremony for the second time, back to back, the same awards in which she has been nominated twice, in the
Best Actress in a Lead Role category.
Nse has been in the make-believe business since she was 18, but became popular after acting in an Emem Isong film, titled
Reloaded, in 2008. The film also featured Ramsey Noah, Rita Dominic, Ini Edo and Desmond Elliot. Her most popular films, however, include
The Visit and
Fifty.
This year’s edition of the awards was initially scheduled for the 22nd of September, but will now hold on Saturday the
20th of October in Kigali Rwanda. Anchoring alongside Etim will be Rwandan radio presenter, Arthur Nkusi.
The AMAA is a film awards ceremony of global acclaim. It is an initiative of Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, Nigerian entertainment executive and filmmaker.
