At the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, the Sai Masu Gida (Kano Pillars) continued their impressive run of form with a 2-0 win against Adamawa United. Goals from Auwalu Ali and Achibi Ewenike were enough to put smiles on the faces of their home fans and ensure they moved from the 12th to 8th spot on the league table. Akwa United held their own to earn a vital point away from home after holding hosts, FC Ifeanyi Uba to a 0-0 draw in Nnewi. MFM were beaten away from home at the Kwara State Sports Complex, Ilorin, after Christopher Nwaeze’s goal from the spot in the 73rd minute was not equalized by the visitors as Kwara United cruised to victory.
