Having ridden motorcycles in 29 countries of the world, 23 of which were with his own Nigerian-registered motorcycle, Kanu has recorded a number of historical exploits.
In his 10 years of riding, Kanu remains to date, the only Nigerian to have ridden from South Africa to Lagos, passing through seven countries. He is the first and only Nigerian member of the Iron Butt Association – an organization of the world’s toughest riders. He is also the first and only Nigerian to have ridden from Lagos to Europe and back on a motorcycle, a distance of over 16,000km, riding through Benin, Togo, Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Western Sahara, Morocco, Spain, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy. He wrote about the events of his Lagos-Europe tour in his book FD Breaking Limits: Road To Europe.
Proceeds from the sales of the book, which was published by Author House, UK, will be channelled to the foundation.
Boulos Enterprises Limited (Suzuki dealer for Nigeria), Epesok Paper Mill, and Seindeo Limited are sponsors and supporters of the foundation, while a number of individuals have shown their support by purchasing copies of the book.
Kanu has also set up a Thank You album on the Foundation’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/FotodadiFoundation, where selfies of those who have bought the book are uploaded.
He has invited everyone to join hands and help to give orphans access to quality education.
