Nigerians are taking over Education internationally, it seems, with the recent set of first class graduates being showcased across the blogosphere. Or has this always been the case but no one’s ever noticed? That is the question.
Here are four recent high achievers making us proud in diaspora:
First is 22 year old Tega Clement Adigu. This youngster did not only graduate with a first class degree in Software Engineering from the Nottingham Trent University UK, he also emerged as the best graduating student among the 122 graduands. The Warri born Adigu emerged with a CGPA of 4.0 and presented a speech at the school’s convocation ceremony.
The second Son of Gombe State Governor, Khalifa Ibrahim Dankwambo also graduated with a First Class in Computer Networking from Essex University. Football star, Mikel Obi was so impressed that he hosted him to dinner.
Nigerian student, Oluwatobi Olasunkanmi also recently emerged as winner of the William Charnley Prize for getting a first class in Law at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
Finally, who can forget Ufot Ekong, the Nigerian who broke Japan’s 50-year record of being the second Nigerian in the country’s history to make a First Class? The University of Tokyo graduate also solved a Mathematics equation that’s taken 30 years to become a reality.
With intelligent youths like these, Nigeria’s future is getting brighter by the minute. We are incredibly proud of these high achievers and wish them all the best in their future endeavours!
