Peter Osaze Odewingie played 75 minutes of the first Premier league meeting between the two Welsh sides, but was substituted about 15 minutes to the end of the match for Frazier Campbell.
Defender, Steven Caulker scored the only goal of the Welsh derby to give Cardiff the bragging rights.
NEWCASTLE 2-0 CHELSEA
Shola Ameobi returned to the Newcastle starting line up for the Chelsea game. He was replaced in the 62nd minute by Senegalese, Papiss Cisse. His younger brother, Sammy and John Obi Mikel were on the bench for Newcastle and Chelsea respectively but didn’t play a part in the game.
Newcastle ran away with the three points courtesy of goals from French men, Yoann Gouaffran and Loic Remy.
WEST BROM 2-0 CRYSTAL PALACE
Victor Anichebe was missing in West Brom’s team list for the game against a struggling Crystal Palace.
Saido Berahino and Gary McAuley ensured West Brom took maximum points.
HULL CITY 1-0 SUNDERLAND
Sonie Aluko missed yet another game for Hull City through injury but his absence wasn’t felt as his team won the day courtesy of a Carlos Cuellar own goal.
ARSENAL 2-0 LIVERPOOL
Victor Moses was a 68th minute substitute for Liverpool but his introduction couldn’t stop his side from going down at the Emirates.
The win sees Arsenal open up a five point gap at the top of the league, capitalising on lapses from Chelsea and Liverpool over the weekend.
