Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen, has admitted to missing football owing to the suspension of football leagues across Europe due to the corona virus pandemic. Corona virus is a major threat to global security as it has claimed thousands of lives and has put economic and social activities to a stop temporarily, including the French Ligue One. In a bid to curtail the spread of the virus, the World Health Organization has made numerous recommendations to the globe and urged people to stay indoors for the time-being.

Prior the suspension, Osimhen was in terrific form for Lille OSC since joining the French side from Belgian side, Sporting Charleroi, last summer, bagging 18 goals and assisting six goals in as much as 38 games for the Les Douges so far this season. Osimhen, 21, has helped Christopher Galtier’s men sit fourth on the French league log with just one point adrift of a spot in the Champions League.

The former Wolfsburg of Germany forward took to his Instagram account to post the message “I miss doing my job.’’ Osimhen who has already scored three goals for the Nigerian national team in the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifier was part of the Super Eagles team that finished third at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
