Super Falcons of Nigeria forward, Asisat Oshoala, has expressed her hunger and desire to keep hitting remarkable heights in her career after clinching the maiden edition of the Spanish Women’s Super Cup with FC Barcelona Femini in Salamanca on Sunday, February 9, 2020. Oshoala scored a brace as the Catalonian side beat Real Sociedad 10-1 to win the domestic title.

To add the Super Cup to last year’s Copa Catalunya was a great experience. But my professional priority is to keep doing well and winning, so I can’t take my eyes off the targets. We still have the league, UEFA Women’s Champions League and the Spanish Cup to contest this season as a team

FCB Femini in the quest for their first league title in five years, are currently unbeaten and sit top of the Spanish Primera Division as they prepare to confront fellow Spanish side, Atletico Madrid in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League cum March, 2020. It will be recalled that Oshoala grabbed a late consolation for Barcelona in their 4-1 loss to French side Lyon in the final match of the 2018/2019 UEFA Women’s Champions League, and is looking forward to achieving a greater feat this year.

Oshoala

The Nigerian is the reigning Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) Women’s Player of the Year and has equaled the record of fellow Nigerian, Perpetua Nkwocha, after winning the prize for the fourth time.
