Aribo made his debut for Nigeria in an international friendly against Ukraine in Dnipro on September 10, 2019, and has scored in each of the two games he has played for the national team so far. He gifted Nigeria the lead against Ukraine in a game that would end 2-2, and also stunned the defense of the Brazilian national with great dribble and fine finish on October 13, 2019, in a friendly game played in Singapore. The former Charlton Athletic star is eager to make his home debut for Nigeria, a game that will also cap-tie him to Nigeria officially.
It is always good to be part of the international squad, it is an honour to represent my country… I’m just happy to be part of the team and I can’t wait to go out there [Uyo] to play.
